We visited Villa Martin in September 2011 & liked the look of Eduardos for a birthday meal, we booked a table for 8.30 that night, we arrived and was very impressed with the decor & the restaurant staff, they all looked very glam.... like something out of The Only Way is Essex!! It all went down hill from there unfortunately. The waitress took our orders at 8.45, the starters arrived at 9.30....freezing cold & had to be sent back, we then waited another half an hour for the starters to come back out, to our amazement they were still cold!! A few of us had ordered the breaded Camembert, I expected this to be all lovely and gooey in the middle, instead we got a hard piece of Camembert cheese in-cased in burnt breadcrumbs. Dinner was no better, it arrived at 10.45....all 4 dishes were way below average, there was nothing "Great" about the "Great British Lancashire Hot Pot" it looked like something the family cat would bring up!! The fillet steak cost approx 40 Euros & was like a dry piece of rubber, for that price I expect a quality piece of meat to be served, the fish was cold and when we complained the excuse we received was "it's because we steam our fish & when cooked like this it cools really quickly". We left without having pudding, by this point we had just about enough.
Everything about this restaurant is glossy, the website, decor, staff, they even have the cheek to offer Cristal champagne on the menu.....it's such a shame they forgot the most important thing.... the food!!....the only recommendation I would give about this restaurant is to STAY WELL CLEAR!

Just enjoyed a nice meal at The Square, Villa Martin, but 6 euros for a glass of wine! Didn't get asked what wine we wanted or what size. We have a bar in Torre and charge 2 euros for a decent wine. Won't be going back.

We have an apartment near Villamartin and have tried quite a few restaurants in the area. Best best by far is Wolfies, which is about a 10 min walk out of the main square area. The staff are very friendly and they make a lot of food fresh on the premises, there is also a bar area with a few friendly locals. All in all a cracking night!

With regards the main square, we think 'the square' restaurant does the best food, the waiting staff and owner however are a bit 'out to lunch', so service can be a bit hit and miss, but this can be said of most restaurants in the square. If you pay peanuts...you get monkeys as they say! The worst restaurant we have ate at was 'bogeys' on the lower level of the square. It is supposed to be a fish restaurant, I don't mean to sound harsh but our food looked and tasted like something the cat brought up. Hope this helps.

The best Indian Restaurant in Villamartin Plaza is the New Shalimar, it is only small but all the food is cooked fresh to order and the best we've eaten here or in the UK. If you want a Jalfrezi but not too hot, just ask. Staff are efficient and friendly and it's good value too. It was recommended to us and we've recommended it to others.

We have lived in villa martin for 6 years now and have tried lots of Indian restaurants in the time that we have been here.

We had friends visiting recently who wanted to go to Villa Martin Square and wanted a good Indian curry We decided foolishly to try the new Saffron on the front of the Plaza that used to be Fusion What a mistake the staff were miserable could not reccomend anything we ordered 4 diffrent curries they all looked the same with a maximum of 4 little bits of chicken tasted like they were out of a tin they couldnt even get the right nam bread to our table we spent a total of over 130 euros Never again do not bother using this place a waste of time and money
