Montgo Restaurant Javea

Montgo Restaurant in Javea – Ctra. Jesus Pobre. From Javea old town take the road along the foot of the Montgo towards Jesus Pobre and La Jara and it’s just past Las Brisas restaurant. Tel. 96 579 5020.

“Went to The Montgo restaurant on Sunday. Menu del Dia was now €9.50 but still great value for money as it includes starter, main course, dessert and half a bottle of wine. Choice of starters stood out for me – there were lots and didn’t include the usual suspects. Had cheese rosti (nice), the roast beef looked good also. My seafood pasta for main course was ok but would not have it again, however other main courses looked good. Nothing wrong with the service but was not a feature as with some restaurants where you almost go back because of the people who own and run the restaurant. The other fantastic feature was an enclosed kids area right next to the outdoor terrace. This means the kids are right where you can see them and they are perfectly safe.” Mark E. April ’08

“Pound for pound (or euro for euro!) you can’t beat the Montgo restaurant for value. It is very reasonable price wise but very good food.” M.L. April ’08

“I would describe the Montgo restaurant as cheap and cheerful with it’s three course set menu priced at 8.80 euros, including half a bottle of wine – available at lunch and evening. They also do a really good paella.” Rachael D. March ’08

“Great value for money at the Montgo restaurant and a great place to eat outside during the summer. The views from the terrace of the Montgo are spectacular. Definitely make sure you book ahead on the weekends.” Amanda S. March ’08

“A bit of a Spanish Scallops perhaps. Very good value for the price. Good selection on the Menu del Dia. Staff can be a bit functional sometimes and occasionally I’ve felt a bit rushed but you really can’t complain. Does have a separate smoking area. 7 out of 10.” Anna B. March ’08

  1. Great value for money, very child friendly (with outdoor play area) and nice setting. The service is good and this restauraunt is very popular (particularly with the Spanish)and so gets very busy – especially in the summer.
