Lovely garden – perfect for dining outside and service is good. The evening set Menu about 12.95€ (2009) with lots of choices for all 3 courses or you can choose from the main menu which includes ostrich steak! Food is delicious, not over priced – something for everyone – definitely worth a visit.
Went with a few friends one evening at the beginning of September 09. We didn´t book and unfortunately when we arrived we found that the restaurant was closed. It seems that, whilst the sign outside still says “Open 7 fays a week from 7pm”, it actually closes every Tuesday from September.
Went back the following Monday with a group of 8 people. This time we had booked! The restauraunt was fairly busy and this resulted in the service being terribly slow – even took a long time just to get a drink order. When the food arrived, the orders were muddled up and the hot starters were almost cold. Unfortunately the quality of the food was dissappointing and I don´t know whether this was because we ordered off the set menu rather than the main menu.
All round – a very dissapointing experience on both occasions and will definitely think twice before going again.
We had 2 lovely meals at L’Escut in September 2010. We ate outside which was delightful, the service excellent and the food divine. Would definitely recommend it
This was always one of our favourite restaurants in Javea.
We visited it twice on the 25th June and the 2nd July. I can only say that everything was excellent.
