"Until I found your website I kept going back to the 'safe' but good restaurants I had first found when I moved to Spain. Now I'm trying new restaurants which your reviewers have recommended and I'm finding even better discoveries." Mark E. Restaurant
- "The
most under rated restaurant in the area must be the Valbon in Alcalali.
Restaurante
Paraiso in Parcent - "We
have just visited the Paraiso on the road out of Parcent. We had not booked
in advance and this may have influenced the slightly chilly welcome we
received. However, once it had been decide at which empty table we might
sit, things improved. The menu was outstanding with a wide choice and
some very unexpected dishes. Purely for my personal taste some of the
items leaned too far towards the oriental-but the rest of the party were
perfectly happy and I had no difficulty in finding dishes to my taste.
The service was excellent, but not so that we felt that we were being
rushed, and the food was tasty, hot and appetising. Options Restaurant in Moraira - "Went to the Olive Tree restaurant in Moraira before we went back to dreary u.k.on the 15th Nov 08. Had a great meal and pleasant evening, as always." 10/10 Barry. M. Restaurante Paraiso in Parcent - "Situated near Parcent, with a beautiful view of the village, this rustic restaurant has two blazing fireplaces, and a really old olive press in the centre room. The international menu, that I´m told changes weekly has an international feel. Run by two chefs one is renown for his steaks the other sweets and spicier dishes. A sweet menu to die for, including cherry crepes, chocolate fudge cakes, meringues, toffee apple pies ........ need I say more!! 5 courses start at E12.95 including wine." Lynda L. November 2008 Escollera Restaurant in Javea - "A worthy rival to El Portet in the Port is sandwiched between them and the Cinema. This excellent elegant and friendly restaurant has a good website www.escollerajavea.com. Tel 96 579 4994. Service is professional and the décor understated modern. 3 Menu del Dias from 11 to 15 euros give a good choice. We loved it and have booked an evening meal with our daughter and husband later this week." P.P. October 2008 El Rancho Restaurant in Javea - "I would agree with the first review of El Rancho in Javea. this under new management restaurant is welcoming and friendly and it has a very pleasant setting. But we went on a Sunday for the roast and were disappointed. Great portions, but the meat slices seemed to be pre packaged warm ups which soon went curly at the edges. Sorry but not what we like in a good roast. What a pity because they so nearly had it right." P.P. October 2008 The Great Indian Restaurant in Javea - Av. Colomer S/N, (Ctra Jesus Pobre) km1. Tel 966 463 768. "By far the most authentic Indian cuisine in the area. Wonderful service from Uttam and his team. A great food appreciation experience. Bob M. September 2008 Jacaranda - "Went for sunday lunch where they had beef/pork & chicken on the menu. We had chicken, well presented plenty on plate, and tasted like home made sunday lunch should be, will return soon. BarryM. 9/10 Would advise to book. 8th September 08. The Costa Blanca area of Spain is one of the most visited tourist areas in the world. Not only that but due to the great all-year round weather and climate many people from all around the world have decided to emigrate and live on the Costa Blanca. Because of these two major factors as you would expect there is a huge amount of restaurants to cater for both the tourists and residents. Not only that but because of the mix of nationalities there is a great variety of types of restaurants. Of course most of the restaurants on the Costa Blanca serve traditional Spanish food such as paella but also there are many other types of restaurants. The second most popular type of Costa Blanca restaurants is the Chinese restaurant which are very cheap and great value for money. Because of the growing British population on the Costa Blanca there are many Indian restaurants, fish and chip shops and restaurants serving traditional British food such as Sunday roasts, pie and chips etc. Other types of restaurants we have come across on the Costa Blanca are: German restaurants, Austrian restaurants, French restaurants and Italian restaurants of course famous for their pasta and pizza. Should you be coming to the Costa Blanca on holiday or you live on the Costa Blanca this site's aim is to help you find the best places to eat out. |
