Visited Stan and Ollie’s for the first time last week. Food was excellent, portions generous and service was very good. Have already been back and will definately return.
I’ve been there on many occasions, the food and quality of service is second to none, I took my partner there along with 6 friends and we ate from the alacarte menu, for 8 people including all drinks the bill came to just under €200 thats €25 per person, this included cava for the toast, everything was perfect, if I tried hard to find a fault, maybe they were a little slow at presenting the bill, seriously though, in the UK you would pay probably 40 or 50 pounds per person for a meal and service of this quality. I take my hat off to the people running this establishment, you deserve to be successful.
I visited Stan & Ollie’s today (Sunday 10th March 2011) with a friend of mine for the first time and we were both very impressed. The restaurant is very nicely designed and pleasing to the eye, the Sunday Special Lunch menus on offer are great value for money especially including a bottle of wine as well. €13.50 for a three-course and very ample servings. As for the serving staff, very pleasant and efficient indeed and the owners are lucky to employ such happy people! All-in-all, a great eating experience and it is a shame I travel home Tuesday but will certainly return! Definitely worth a link on my web site.
My husband and 2 friends went to Stan & Ollie’s last night (27th April 2011). This was our 1st visit and we were very impressed by the decor, waiting staff and the food was the last word! I had seared tuna (2 steaks)on noodles which was amazing. My husband and friend had sirloins which were massive – they thoroughly enjoyed them. There was also salmon en croute ordered, which was superb. The only criticism we had was that the dessert black board was far away and struggled to read it when we were asked if we wanted to order. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Myself and my partner visited stan and ollies,yesterday,it had been recommended by various people.As we only get one day off per week we decided to dine there.The soup starter was cold,so had to be returned to the kitchen,i had finished my starter before the soup was returned.The mains came without the lyonaise potatoes,so i had to ask for them 5 minutes later,the chicken with stilton was like a piece of rubber and extremely dry,so a new one was requested by us,this meal arrived 25 minutes after the complaint,by which time my main meal was also finished.By this stage,all the staff bar one were discussing our table without coming over to deal with us,well done debbie for dealing with us so professionally.
My partners meal was knocked off the bill and a drink on the house was had.So a meal for one was had for the princely sum of 29.50€
I will certainly not be returning and cannot believe that this establishment is held in such high esteem by the locals….
