Orange Grove Newsletter-August-2009

August 2009 Newsletter

Hi Everyone

This is the first official newsletter from The Orange Grove and we would like to begin by saying a big thank-you to all our customers for your support.

We would also like to thank everyone who attended our two Murder Mystery evenings which were a great success. We hope to arrange another one in October (not the same plot) so if you are interested please let us know.

For those who have not attended a Murder Mystery event we provide you with an information sheet which sets the scene plus details of your character.

The evening begins with a three course meal and then it is up to you to talk with others and find the clues to solve the crime. The tickets are 10.00euro. Dressing up is fun but not essential.
Also we want to congratulate all who attended the buffet and quiz for the HELP charity who I understand had a great time plus made a significant amount of money for the charity. Well done!

We now host a Wednesday quiz night which is run by a group from Els Poblets. Those who want to join the quiz can have a meal or just come along for a drink. If you don’t fancy the quiz you can always come along for a meal. Booking a table for the quiz or indeed a
meal is essential.

Plus we have a small painting class Wednesday lunch time. Newcomers are always welcome.

On a day to day basis we continue to offer our three course menu del dia at 5.95Euro both during the day time 1pm to 3pm and evening 6pm to 10pm. We are also offering a small Al a Carte menu for those who fancy something special. As always Sunday Roast is 1pm to 3pm beginning at 4.95 euro.

During the past months we have become increasingly busy and at times have been fully booked, which is great for us but not so good for those who we have had to turn away. We also have bookings for private parties when we need to close so please please contact us to make a reservation rather then being disappointed.

Well this week for me means making Xmas Cakes and Puddings which will be for sale later in the year after I have laced them with Brandy.. Don’t forget to place your order as last year I could not make them quick enough and even had an order Xmas Eve.

I also have some new jewelry items for sale so don’t forget to have a look when you visit us.

Finally for those customers who were around when the chef had his encounter with the meat slicer just to let you know that after a visit to the hospital he is now fine ……………… fingers do grow back again!

Once again thanks.

Pat, Colin, Stu (three fingered chef) and Kasha.
