Guide To The Orange Grove Restaurant

Stuart and Kasia welcome you to The Orange Grove Restaurant.

Orange Grove Restaurant

History of the Orange Grove Restaurant

Our restaurant was formally known as Casa German, which in the Valencian language means Brothers House.

The locals say that it is unlucky to change the name of a house. Although we have changed the name of the business to The Orange Grove our home above the restaurant continues to be called Casa German.

The building is over one hundred and twenty years old and was originally an old farmhouse (finca). The main dining room with the very large open fireplace was the living and sleeping area and the current kitchen was in fact the stables.

If you look at the outside wall by the roadside you will see a small heavy iron ring embedded in the wall which was used by visitors to secure their horses.

People tell us that there is a happy and warm ambiance to the restaurant and the gardens in the summer are an ideal place for a relaxed meal or just for drinks.

At the Orange Grove Restaurant we aim to provide you with excellent home made farmhouse fare. All our dishes are prepared on the premises using the freshest produce, we even grow some of our own vegetables and fruit.

Please be patient if you do not receive a McDonalds speed service but Stuart (our Chef) is ensuring that your food is fresh, well prepared and presented.
