Cooking standards are usually high and usually include fresh local produce and ingredients.

Obviously most restaurants in Moraira will be Spanish restaurants many of which will also serve international food or cuisine. The Spanish restaurants will serve tapas, local recipes and dishes that are unique to the Valencian region such as Paella. Colbys Bar/Restaurant
Primarily known as an English sports bar but the food they do is very edible. Possibly the best English breakfast in Moraira.

David’s Fish and Chip Shop
Good quality standard British chip shop food. Take away or a good eating out area in summer.

Del Mar Restaurant
Fabulous food in a great setting right opposite the marina in Moraira.

El Caserio Restaurant
The El Caserio Restaurant in Moraira serves a good value menu at €18.75 with a wide choice and large servings. The service can sometimes be slow.

“Near the office of Molino Villas and the Mr Car Rental offices, along that row of shops the other side of the main car park in Moraira. Pasta House is family run and produces Italian food freshly cooked. All the pasta and pizzas are made in house and of a fantastic standard. The decor is modern and very comfortable with generously sized tables for those with summer guests. Many of the pasta dishes may be ordered as starters and the dessert menu is good. One of very few restaurants producing fresh pasta.” Jan G. March ’08

“Located virtually on the Portet beach itself, is probably one of the best located restaurants on the Costa Blanca. It’s a special venue for special occasions. Expensive of course, but in summer, sitting on the stunning terrace with views across the Portet bay, it takes some beating. (about 80 euros per head with wine) I think it has a Michelin award. “On the Calpe road heading out of Moraira, you need to look for the Timon sign on the left a couple of kilometres before reaching Calpe. The best thing about Timon is the incredible location. Go on a fine, sunny day as the restaurant is built onto the rock overlooking a small sailing school, so there is plenty to look at while you are waiting for your food to arrive. Great seafood, especially the prawns. The owner learned his trade working in Italian restaurants in Germany and so the pasta dishes are good. There is also an acceptable curry on the menu.” Jan G. “Returned to Sataris last week 20th August,they have put some new things` on the menu.My wife had the new Lemon chicken main meal which she said was terrible like boilled chicken with white lemon sauce poured over it her words` must admit was asked if she wanted something else. I had the poached salmon in mustard sauce new dish,which was very good. So good and bad things` on the new menu P.S. wonder if the chef ever tastes` is dishes`? 8/10 Barry M. 20th August 08.

“If you are looking for somewhere special to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, this is the place. Family owned and attention to detail is king. They have leg of kid on the menu, which falls off the bone and melts in the mouth. Also, there is a chocolate pudding on the dessert menu which has a cakey crust and a runny, thick, rich chocolate centre to die for. Wines are superb, atmosphere is intimate and everything in general is absolutely scrummy. Apart from the price, which is about 80 euros per head for three courses and a bottle of something delightful. Still, you can’t have everything. Look for it on the seafront in Moraira, there is also a La Sort Hotel attached if you fancy staying overnight.” Jan G. March ’08

“La Luna restaurant in Moraira near to the Bon Bon shop. We have had several excellent meals here. I think it improves with age. The set menu lunches are excellent value & quality. They always have a fish , meat and vegetarian main course (all fresh). You can’t go wrong for 12 euros for 3 courses including a glass of house wine. In the evenings, they step up a grade further. Similar in menu style to Options (also very good) I would say on food quality, it has the edge. (Options edges it for location).” Jill May ’08

“Situated one block away from the Indian Palace. Indian food of quite reasonable quality. 12.50 euros all-you-can-eat buffet on Wednesdays and Sundays. Fresh fruit and/or mango mousse dessert is a nice touch. NON-SMOKING. Score 7 out of 10.” Mike L. Feb ’08
