Calpe is a popular tourist resort and being on the Costa Blanca coast you will almost always have a fish or shellfish dish on the menu. Because Calpe has such a diverse population with many expats living here there are restaurants catering to many different tastes and nationalities. Cooking standards are usually high and usually include fresh local produce and ingredients.

Obviously most restaurants in Calpe will be Spanish restaurants many of which will also serve international food or cuisine. El Faro Restaurant Calpe – From the Owners:

Our opening times are from 12pm to 6pm but we often stay open longer as we never like to ask visitors to leave before they have finished eating or drinking.

We have a planned menu but are very versatile and are always prepared to offer something else if our customers request it. Special meals can be catered for after a day´s notice, such as for birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

On the first Sunday of every month we cook a traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings, bookings necessary.

Our Tapas Evenings have proved very popular and again bookings are necessary.

The bar was designed by Ricardo Bofill and is tucked away on the Manzanera Urbanisation but well worth the walk to find it and you can always be assured of a friendly welcome from Ian and Brigitte who have been there now for 10 years.

Over this past decade they have built up a solid clientele of locals and visitors who can back year after year.
