The Costa Blanca region of Spain is a popular destination for visitors and tourists. This popularity is mostly based on the combination of the Costa Blanca’s wonderful sandy beaches combined with a hot and mostly sunny climate.
Because of the many different nationalities visiting the Costa Blanca you will find a very diverse range and variety of types of food and cuisine served at the many different restaurants.
Obviously most restaurants on the Costa Blanca will be Spanish restaurants many of which will also serve international food or cuisine. The Spanish restaurants will serve tapas, local recipes and dishes that are unique to the Valencian region such as Paella. Also expect many meals to be based around seafood dishes due to the Costa Blanca bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Indeed many of the popular tourist destinations of the Costa Blanca were originally small fishing villages which have mushroomed in size as tourism has become the principle and most important source of income.
Although most Costa Blanca restaurants are Spanish run you will also find many Chinese restaurants, Italian restaurants, Indian restaurants and restaurants serving English or British food. To a lesser extent you can also find Thai restaurants, French restaurants, German restaurants and Japanese (Sushi) restaurants.
Look out for the Menu del Dia which most Costa Blanca restaurants offer. This is a great value menu which typically includes a starter, main course, dessert and often includes wine, soft drink or coffee.
The navigation column on the right-hand side of the pages contain the listing of towns on the Costa Blanca that we have restaurant reviews and guides for. Most likely you will be arriving into Alicante airport and perhaps travelling south to the area near to Torrevieja. This is a very lively and busy area of the Costa Blanca with many fabulous beaches. Here you will find many good restaurants in tourist areas such as Villamartin, Guardamar, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Punta Prima, Cabo Roig, Elche, Ciudad Quesada, Orihuela and La Marina.
If you go north to the Northern Costa Blanca you will find the huge tourist resort of Benidorm as well as some very pretty and scenic towns such as Denia, Javea, Moraira, Benissa, Altea, Calpe, and Villajoyosa.

“Until I found your website I kept going back to the ‘safe’ but good restaurants I had first found when I moved to Spain. Now I’m trying out loads of new restaurants which your reviewers have recommended and I’m finding even better discoveries – so thanks a million!” Mark E.
Our Costa Blanca restaurant guide obviously aims to focus chiefly on the quality of the food and menu but there are other factors involved in making for a good dining out experience. If you want to make your own comments and observations on the various restaurants you have visited do take into account these other factors.
These would include:
How tasty was your food?
Was your food edible?
How fresh were the ingredients?
How do you rate the chef of the restaurant?
How big or small were the portions especially compared to the price?
How do you rate the restaurant for value for money?
What was the service like?
How good were the staff such as waiters and waitresses?
Did you have to wait ages for your food to be cooked?
What was the decor and situation and ambiance like in the restaurant?
Tell us if there is anything unique about a restaurant such as views or a signature dish.
How good was the wine list?
Was the restaurant smoking or non-smoking and are the areas properly separated?
Is it necessary to book make a reservation?
Is the restaurant family-friendly and suitable for taking kids and children?
